"When I say I want to photograph someone, what it really means is that I'd like to know them." - Annie Liebovitz

The Photo

When my mother passed we had a lot of things to go through, photos included. The photos that consistently meant the most to us were the candid, unposed shots and not the studio pictures. Candid photos are much more fun and mean so much more.

While posed shots have their place, my goal is to capture the candid unposed moments that will mean more to you in the years to come. In my family, because of the playful look of my mother on the right side of the frame and the potential for simply making up a fun story about what's going on here, this shot is simply known as, "The Photo."

Legacy over Likes

I'm dedicated to capturing moments that you will treasure in the years to come.

Classic, authentic photos that will mean more to you in 20 years than they do today.

The kind of photos that, when picked up years from now, nostalgia hits you like a tidal wave.

Life Events and Milestones

My event photography service focuses on capturing the key moments and atmosphere of your special event. I offer a mix of candid and posed shots, ensuring comprehensive coverage of your important life event or milestone.

What is documentary family photography?

Documentary family photography is all about preserving the genuine, unposed moments of daily life or special events and occasions. My approach to family photography is rooted in the belief that authentic, candid snapshots are the ones that truly endure, allowing individuals to revisit and cherish their most precious family memories.

Below are personal examples of why I take this approach.

Grandmother, Rockstar

In the soft, diffuse light of a winter's day, this photograph of my grandmother stands timeless. It captures a candid moment of delight shared between her and her playful companion, a snapshot that transcends generations. This image is a testament to the power of natural light and documentary-style photography.

Also, check out those heels. When this photo was rediscovered, everyone agreed it made her a rockstar.
